Harassed & Stressed

*Yawn*

Morning all – I am shattered.
Didn’t get much sleep last night and this morning I managed to oversleep.
Brilliant.
Then I get to the tube station only to discover that the travelcard on my Oyster has run out.
Brilliant.
Not only that but I also don’t get paid until tomorrow.
Excellent.
So I queue up to try and get it topped-up, half an hour later, my debit card fails.
Why? See previous point.
Fantastic.

What am I to do?

Well – at this point I had a good mind to turn around, go home, back to bed and sod the rest of the day off.
But no – I persevered – I managed to get through the barriers (just). Sneaky I know but I called my friend Alex to have a good moan and she insisted that I had no choice but to get myself to work (cheers Bongo, if you’re reading this).
So fifteen more mins later (when the tube finally turned up) I climb aboard a sardine tin-esque tube carriage…

..and off to work I went.

[EDIT: Just noticed the gormless looking dude over my right shoulder, on the bottom-left of the pic – brilliant – hahaha]

Note – my tube is NEVER that busy in the mornings.
What an absolute pain in the arse. GRRR!

Anywhoo – I’m at work now.
Ranting coming to an end.
Dunno what I’m gonna do about getting home yet – should be interesting.
Maybe I’ll work really late and sleep under my desk – that’s not a bad idea….

Oh – and on top of that – I’m moving house this weekend apparently.
Must start packing soon!

Yawn

Hello folks,

New readers and old.
The blogging has begun (somewhat in earnest) again.
Today is Monday.
The time is 13:26.

I’ve had a weekend busy doing nothing.
*yawn/stretch*

Back to work today and I’m looking around thinking:
“I really want to be in bed…”

But never mind – gotta work, gotta pay those bills.. not forgetting the fact that I love my job of course.. Heeh – makes getting up in the mornings oh so much easier.

Made this thing the other day – check it out – anyone who’s followed this blog from the beginning will remember that it started out as a ‘detox diary’ – well, I’ve taken some of the best bits of that blog and compressed them down into my own mini-blog for consumption on your mobile phone!

ANYONE interested in trying this out for me (anyone folks – this should work on whatever phone you have in whatever country) should direct their handset’s WAP browser to:

http://wap.eyemags.com/199

The thing’s called ’10 Days in Thailand’ – I’ve put it on mine and it doesn’t look too bad.
All feedback welcome folks!

In the meantime – take it easy.
Blogging to improve on the whole very soon.

It’s good to be back.

Laterz.

Mystery Plays – The Nativity

Ladies & Gentlemen –

I know – my blogging skills have been somewhat lacking of late – but I’ve been acting dah-ling!

On that note…

Short notice I know but…

Next week I am appearing in another play (no more now ’til next year – promise!)

THE NATIVITY,
by Tony Harrison

At:
The cornerHOUSE:
Wed December 6 to Sat December 9.

About the Play:
A company of local actors, singers and musicians are bringing a unique theatrical experience to the cornerHOUSE in Tolworth from December 6.

Collectively known as The Cloud Factory Theatre Company, they will be presenting

The Nativity – the first part of ‘The Mysteries’ trilogy – by poet and
playwright Tony Harrison.
It was first performed in the early 1980s at the
National Theatre, to rave reviews, although its roots go back many hundreds of years.

The script is based on the mediaeval Mystery Plays, which were performed in the streets of many English cities and not only gave ordinary people their first taste of theatre, but also brought the Biblical stories to life as never before.

The Nativity captures the flavour of these open air performances – not only through the rich, poetic language, but also in the fact that it is performed ‘in promenade’. In other words, the audience will be led around the cornerHOUSE, with scenes unfolding all around them.

The production also features a live folk band, who are recreating the
original musical score – a rare event in itself, for it was created by a
band, led by top folk musician John Tams, who played by ear. Nothing was ever written down, and it survives only in recordings.

The Nativity takes you on a journey into the past, from the creation of the world through to the birth of Jesus, blending comedy and tragedy, song and dance, and Christian and ancient English traditions in a way that is totally unique. It promises to be a memorable theatrical experience.

Details:
Performances: from Wed December 6 to Sat December 9.

A bit from me:
This play is unlike anything I’ve ever been in before and will be very different (I’m sure) to anything you’ve seen before – it’s a lot of fun and if manage to make it along I’m sure you’ll have a fun evening… The cast are great and the live band really adds to the whole atmosphere of the piece…
Those of you that came to see me in Mum’s Legs/Alone earlier this year – this production is at the same place…
(so you know where you’re going!)
Those of you who came to see me in Our Country’s Good – this production is NOT at the same place – it’s a bit further on past Kingston, through Surbiton and nearly into Tolworth – a 281 from Twix will sort you out no bother!

Email/Text/Call me if you have any questions etc…
Obviously – this is extremely late notice and it’s my own fault for leaving it so late for posting this blog so if you can’t make it I’ll understand – but if you can – then WHOOPEEEEE!
I’ll see you there!

Like butter spread over too much bread…

Evening all…

It’s around 6pm – I’m falling asleep at my desk.
Too many late nights and early mornings.

I work hard and I play very hard.

My skin feels crap and oily and mank.

Tonight I have duties to attend to but I’m deciding against them – falling back on the old phrase that you should stick to your responsibilities as long as they are:

“Without detriment to yourself or your connections”

Well – I am shattered.

I have a headache (which I never get),
I’m all spotty and horrible, (no good for the ladies – obviously),
Tonight I was supposed to be going out but instead I am going to go home to bed.

I. Need. Sleep.

Big catch up blog to come soon – I promise.

It’s just.. Ok – Here we go:

Monday night I saw my mate Liv.
Tuesday night I had rehearsals for Our Country’s Good.
Wednesday night I saw a lovely lass named Selina.
Thursday night (tonight) I’m supposed to be out but I can’t see it happening.
Friday night I’m going Karaoke with my family on Canvey then into Basildon with my Sister.
Saturday night I’m in Westcliff Casino celebrating my friend Bodger’s birthday.
Sunday I have to be back in Twickenham for 11am for more OCG rehearsals.

And that’s just this week.

Obviously I work Mon-Fri too. Hard.
I’ve never worked so bloody hard in my life.
Especially on something that I actually believe in and care about.
It’s MENTAL!
But hey – they pay me to play with Mobile Phones.
Winner.

Right – I’m going home to bed now.
Take it easy folks – I may post later if I can’t sleep.

N’night…

PS:

This is a new blogspot that Nemi and I have setup.
Check it out…

Why Don’t Grownups Get It?

It’s only young so there’s not much content – but it’ll grow.

Til next time.

This weekend I’m going down to Essex to see friends and family.

Forgive me Father…

03:04 – Forgive me Father…
Current mood: Shattered

…I have sinned.

“My candle’s burning at both ends
It will not last the night.
But Oh my foes, and Ah my friends
It sheds a lovely light.”

It has been over a week since my last blog.
I promised myself I wouldn’t leave it this long again.

I’ll try and update tonight.
Promise.

Been working and playing far too hard for my own good.
But more to come on that… Later*.

In the meantime…
To make you smile.

Here’s a donkey.
In a boat.
